DAY.1. Arrive Entebbe international Airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay (Windsor Lake Victoria hotel in Entebbe) Bed and breakfast (B/B).

 

DAY.2.Entebbe - Jinja. Tour to Jinja town; visit Bujagali falls and the source of the Nile. Lunch at Hotel triangle. On this tour you will be able to pass via Mabira forest a very diverse ecosystem for nocturnal and diurnal primates. En route are Tea and Sugar cane plantations. Overnight stay at Hotel Triangle which is overlooks the source of the majestic Nile River. B/B.

 

DAY.3.Jinja - Masindi. After breakfast, depart for Masindi via Kampala the capital city of Uganda. Visit the historical Kasubi Tombs a historical site for the Buganda Kingdom. After lunch en route, proceed to Masindi. En route is a green country side and a chance of seeing the local Ankole cows. Overnight stay at a one of the colonial well furnished Masindi hotel Full board (F/B). About 350km

 

DAY.4.Masindi - Murchison. After Breakfast proceed to Murchison Falls via Kanyo Pabidi chimpanzee forest for tracking the human closest friends (chimpanzees). This is a sector of Budongo forest one of the few remaining humid tropical rain forest in Uganda. It takes about 3 to 4 hours tracking under the forest canopy with few sun rays penetrating to the ground. After continue to Murchison via the top of the magnificent falls. Picnic Lunch at the top of the falls. Then after proceed and cross the Nile on a Ferry to your Lodge for overnight (Paara Safari Lodge). Full Board

 

DAY.5.Murchison. A day centered around the river Nile. After breakfast, transfer to the Northern sector for game viewing. Most commonly seen animals are the elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, Warthogs, Leopards, Lions and many others with a possibility of seeing the most unique predator (Leopard) at late hours. View of the Borassus savanna is spectacular. Return to the hotel for lunch. Afternoon on a Launch trip to the top of the falls for spectacular view as the mighty Nile is forced up a seven metre gap before plunging to depth below. This is one of Africa’s most splendid water safari up the Nile to the base of the falls. As you travel up the Nile, look at the enormous Nile crocodile basking on the sand banks or gliding silently up the water.
Animals to view here include; Elephants, hippos, Giraffe and a variety of Antelopes. Bird life is prolific and chance of seeing the rare shoebill stork is high. The return journey from the falls as the sun is setting is one of the most beautiful and relaxing of your experience in Africa. Overnight stay at Paara Sarova lodge Full board (F/B).

 

DAY.6.Murchison - Hoima. After breakfast, last morning game drive along the Nile delta with a high possibility of seeing the rare Shoe bill stark. Return to the hotel for lunch and then after cross the Nile on the way to Hoima via Waseko landing site below the Nile delta. En route are Cassava and cotton plantations. Kids wave bye and lots of local cows and goats by the road side. Visit Waseko landing site that links to DR. Congo and across the lake are the Blue Mountains of Congo. Continue to Hoima via Butiaba escarpment a real evidence of the Albertine rift valley. Overnight at Crown hotel (H/B).

 

DAY.7.Hoima - Kibale. After breakfast, Drive to Kibale forest national park a famous park for viewing primates especially chimpanzees. Lunch en route and overnight stay at Lake Nyabikere community lodge (CVK) or Chimpanzee Guest house. (F/B). About 360km.

 

DAY.8.Kibale. After Breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters to meet a guide before we enter the forest in search of chimpanzees and ten other primate species including the L’hoestes monkeys, Red colobus, Blue monkeys, Red tailed monkeys and Grey checked Mangabey. Our guide is an expert not only in primates but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that our walk is both informative and enjoyable. Return to the lodge for Lunch.
In the afternoon, take a swamp walk- excellent for birdlife and for seeing primates at close quarters (though not chimpanzees). Return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight stay F/B.

 

DAY.9.Kibale - Queen Elizabeth NP. After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National park (QENP). Lunch en route (Kasese town) and arrive QENP in the afternoon. Evening transfer to Bwera for an exciting watch at AClem Ungawa-Uganda ECO- Drama Club. Visit the Orphanage school and a Community tailoring Centre.  The club was formed under the umbrella Organisation of AClem Ungawa-Uganda. Return to Queen Elizabeth NP for overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge F/B. About 250km.

 

Day 10.Queen Elizabeth NP: Early morning game drive to Kasenyi Kob mating area for lion and other game viewing. Return to the lodge for lunch Launch trip on the Kazinga channel in the afternoon for a magnificent water safari on kazinga channel and Lake Edward. Photographic and game viewing opportunities abounds as you pass through the huge herds of hippos and watch animals coming to drink at the water edges. Bird life is colourful and abundant. Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge F/B.

 

DAY.11.Queen Elizabeth – Kyambura and Maramagambo Forest. Early morning drive to Kyambura gorge for walk in the gorge. Possibility of seeing the chimpanzees that live in a 16KM tropical rainy forest restricted in the gorge. Lunch at Jacana Lodge. Afternoon visit to the Bat Caves which takes about 2 – 3 hours under the guidance of a Ranger.  Overnight stay at Jacana Eco-Lodge F/B.

 

Day 12. Jacana Lodge - Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park in the south. After breakfast drive to Ishasha sector with a possibility of tracking and seeing the tree climbing lions restricted to the Ishasha sector that extends to DR. Congo. Lunch at G&C Tented Camp F/B

 

Day 13 – Ishasha sector – Bwindi Impenetrable forest: After breakfast drive to Bwindi, lunch at Mantana Camp. Evening walk in the villages or Forest. Overnight at Mantana camp F/B.

 

DAY.14.Bwindi. After Breakfast drive to the park offices for registration to track theGorilla in their natural habitat Walk the ragged hills of mountain gorillas, a walking stick will be provided at park offices when you need one. No flash cameras while watching gorillas. Sick persons will not be allowed to view the gorillas especially those with flue related illness. Overnight at Mantana camp F/B.

 

DAY.15.Bwindi - Kabale. After Breakfast drive to Kabale via Ruhija birding sector. Arrive Kabale in the afternoon. Lunch at Bunyonyi overland resort. Evening boat ride on lake bunyonyi to view the beautiful sceneries of the island. Overnight at Bunyonyi overland resort F/B

 

Day 16 Kabale – Lake Mburo National park: After Breakfast, Drive to Lake Mburo National park via Mbarara town. Lunch at Agip Motel in Mbarara town, transfer to lake mburo for evening boat ride and late game drive in the park. Overnight stay at Mantana camp.

 

Day 17 Lake Mburo – Kampala: Before breakfast (6:00AM), morning walk in the park under the guidance of the park ranger with a possibility of seeing some of the nocturnal animals. Return to the camp for Breakfast and then transfer to Kampala Lunch at Hotel Brovad in Masaka town and overnight at Speke Hotel in Kampala. H/B

 

Day 18 The day centred within the central. After breakfast, Drive to Mabamba Swamp for spectacular bird watching (Shoebill stork). Mabamba Swamp is one of the rich eco-system that surrounds Lake Victoria in the north and is well known to be the breeding area of so many rare wildlife including the rare Sitatunga and Shoebill stork. Lunch at Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel. Evening visit to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens and overnight stay at Bulago Island in Lake Victoria.

 

Day 19 Lake Victoria Exploration. After Breakfast, Free relaxation on the Island. Afternoon hours take a boat ride to Ngamba Chimpanzee Sanctuary on an Isolated Island in Lake Victoria where one gets a closer look at some of the human closest friends in terms of genetic matters. Ngamba Island is a home of about 45 individual chimpanzees under human care and supervision. Lunch at Bulago Island and overnight stay at Imperial Botanical Hotel in Entebbe.

 

DAY.20. - Entebbe - Relaxing Day and departure. Day open for visitors do shopping and preparation for transfer to the Airport for departure.

Note 1:
This price includes: park entrance fees, Gorilla and chimpanzee permits, excursion on boats, game drives, ranger guide, mineral water while on safari, source of the Nile, English or French speaking chauffeur guide, and full board accommodation in hotels or bandas /tents.

The price does not include: alcoholic drinks, crafts, visas, insurance, airfares, airport taxes, and tips.

  • Gorilla permits are obtained from Uganda Wildlife Authority Gorilla offices in Kampala at a cost of 500 US dollars each. This includes entry fees to the park, guide fee and community levy and government taxes. Due to competition on gorilla visit, the above mentioned amount of money for gorilla permit has to be transferred through the bank as soon as you confirm your trip to secure the place and to avoid inconveniences during the gorilla visit.
  • Chimpanzee tracking fee of 150 US dollars per person has to be done at the park head offices in Kampala just the same way as the gorilla permits.
  • Heavy jacket will be required for some time at night as some parks become cold at night and late evening. Include also light clothes (summer clothes) Temperature here ranges from 18 to 32 degrees centigrade.
  • You will definitely need a jungle boot for forest walk and game safaris.
  • Plenty of films.
  • Weather here can change anytime, highway roads are tarmac but most roads in the national parks have maram or mud soil so sometimes it can be difficult to go through. Of course you know this is Africa. A 4 wheel vehicle is always ready with us.
